NARP Melon Alert
April 19, 2010
To our valued customers:
In an effort to safeguard your ability for continued melon shipments from Honduras, we want to make you aware of a continuing problem identified in the South Florida ports. Insects have been found on multiple occasions on NARP melons arriving into the US from Honduras.
Additionally, though not on the NARP list, insects have also been found in snow peas imported from Guatemala and on Italian tiles. The melons run the risk of being removed from the NARP list, should the problem continue.
