Based on a conference call with the terminal operators and the trucking community, most container terminal gates will close Thursday, January 2nd between 16:00 and 17:00 with all container terminal truck gates closed Friday, January 3rd. New York and Newark terminals will reopen for regular business on Monday morning, January 6th. In addition, all tenants and customers are advised to please follow the guidelines outlined below:

  • If possible, please delay arrival at the Port until 10:00 Friday morning, except for personnel involved in snow clearing operations. The public roads in the Port will be open but snow removal operations are impacted by heavy traffic.

  • Do not park employee vehicles or trailers on port roadways. VEHICLES PARKED ON PORT ROADWAYS ARE SUBJECT TO TOW AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.

  • Do not pile snow around, or in front of, fire hydrants or valve houses.

  • ExpressPort Plaza tenants – please park your company vehicles in the rear of your building after 8:00 p.m.
