USDA AQI Treatment Charge Increase 2017

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) charges treatment fees to recover the costs of conducting agriculture treatments (fumigation and/or cold treatment) at U.S. ports of entry. Effective December 28, 2015, APHIS began a five-year adjustment phase to the fees it charges in order to better align them with the costs of delivering AQI services.

Effective Wednesday, December 28th, 2017, the third yearly adjustment in the series will be rolled out, and the USDA AQI Treatment Charge in the United States will increase from $95 USD to $142 USD.
Subsequent fee adjustments for AQI treatment services will occur at end of December 2018 and 2019 as follows (Note: for Cold Treatment the fee is for reading only):
Fourth Year: $190.00
Fifth Year: $237.00
